Easter

We were out of town for Easter.  Visiting my sister, L and her family in Denver.  It was my neices birthday and we went the Zoo on Saturday.  Then drove home Easter Sunday.  The Easter bunny left a few surprises for the kids on their beds.

Sweets got a princess basket, complete with crown, wand, earrings,  necklace and ring.  Along with a few candy filled eggs.

Baby brother got egg toys, a book and keys.  He didn't seem very interested in them.  But he will like them soon :)

I cant believe he is almost 4 months!!

Big sis was pretty excited about her loot!

D turns 30!!!!

I wanted to throw D a big party for his 30th birthday.  But he told me he would be very upset.  Maybe he will throw one for me when I turn 30?

So instead we just celebrated as a family.  E and I went to the dollar store to buy balloons, decorations, and cake.

I found this cute little decoration on Pinterest, with the soda surrounding a tower of candy.  D LOVES Laffy Taffy, skittles, MMs and Dr.  Pepper, so it seemed like the perfect gift

The family, (minus me taking the picture) around gifts and cake.  Notice the Roadhouse gift card from his mom.  That is where we went for dinner.

Blowing out his candles.  Little Brothers face is the exact same in all these pictures.  He is 3 months old.  And the bits of frosting missing from the right side of the cake, yeah that was Sweets...

She loved eating her birthday cake!  Kept asking for more.

Now everytime we go to the store she ask for birthday cake and balloons.

Happy Birthday to my dear husband.  I love you so much.  You are an amazing father to our children.  I couldn't of married anyone better to you and I am glad that you are 30 before I am.  :)

Easter Egg Hunt

We had an Easter Egg Hunt with some friends in our complex.  It was a lot of fun.  We each brought some candy filled eggs and a basket for our kids and one mom went and hid the eggs.  Most the kids were little so they were easily spotted.  E loved searching for them and filling up her basket.

Before the hunt, we had a picnic lunch inside. (outside was windy).  The kids didn't really eat much, but they had cute butterfly shaped sandwiches, carrots, cheese sticks, apples, and strawberries.  It was yummy.

All the kids with their baskets full of eggs.  N, (pictured far right) got the most eggs, he had already been on a hunt that day and knew just what to do.

Bathtime for 2 kids

Ethan started taking baths with sister

He has successfully taken 3 baths with E this week.  He has peed on his face and E's face already.
This should be fun

First Haircut

My sweet little E keeps getting her hair in her face. Which means, that when she gets irritated by it she sweeps it off her face with her hands, which are almost always grubby like a normal 2 year old.
Plus when she has a snotty nose, she gets snot in her hair.
So with these two things combined D and I decided to get her hair cut.

I know I almost cried. My little baby was not old enough to cut her hair.
I procrastinated making the call two weeks, but finally called my friend to cut her hair. Or rather cut her bangs.

Just before the hair cut

Look at those pretty curls.

Checking out her new cape

Making the first cuts.  She did so good and sat still.

We decided to barely trim the ends of the hair too.

And introducing....

The New Bangs

I love how it looks.  She is so big now

Thanks Laura!!

new shoes

Today we were at the library and E started complaining her shoes were too small. So I told her we would go to the store and buy her some bigger shoes. I knew there was a pair of shoes at Target that I had been wanting to get, but they never had her size. So we went to target found the shoe, in her size, and on sale!!! WHoo Hoo! E loves them! Of course she wanted to get like five other pairs and threw a fit that we only got the one :) Sometimes I think she is too much like myself and her Grandma Cahill

3 months

Little brother is getting bigger every day.  He is so adorable to watch.  I still need to get a video of it, but he loves to be sang to, especially Patti Cake, Patti cake.  His whole face just lights up.

He is a little ticklish and smiles if you stroke his cheek, when he is in the right mood.

Last week we went to see "Wreck it Ralph" in the dollar theater for Sweets.  Little brother woke up right when it started and ate.  After he ate he just sat on my lap and grinned at me.  He also has an adorable little cooing noise he makes when he smiles.  It was so cute!

Today I put together the jumperoo and let him sit in it for the first time.  He wasn't really sure what to think.

But he quickly realized that he could lean forward and suck on it and/or his arm.

He was starting to get impatient with my camera flashing ;)

I just love his little legs hanging here

LOVE his big blue eyes!!

He has really good head control now and can stand (with my help) for almost a minute before his legs begin to buckle.

He has little scrappy hair that always sticks up at the crown of his head

I know everyone says this, but I just can't believe it has already been three months!!

He is my little gnawer though.  He is always shoving his arm or fist into his mouth :)

Happy 3 months baby boy!
