A Day in the Car

Last week we drove to Groesbeck to visit David's family and get some things for the baby.  E was really good on the 8 hour drive.  On the way home E serenaded us with these songs.
ABC
Twinkle Little Star
I Am A Child of God
Rock A Bye Baby
Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam

And of course they were "My do it"; meaning mom and dad couldn't help sing, and E sang them over and over.

I didn't even know until then that she knew all those songs by herself.  It was too cute to listen too.

In the past week since we have been home she sings them all the time, especially in the car.

She is getting so big so fast its crazy.  But at least she will be able to help me sing to the Boy. :)

It's my do it!

E has a few phrases that make me crack up.  Because she is so independent, her most common one is
"IT'S MY DO IT!" Or "IT'S E....'S DO IT"

This is normally said when needing to get in the car, put on her shoes, get a diaper from the bathroom...But the other day she was listening to her children's primary songs on the ipod and singing with it.  So I joined in.  Next thing I know she says, "NO, MY DO IT."

Funny how she won't take a bath by herself though, I wish that was "HER DO IT"... E is afraid of the bathtub after finding a black piece of fuzz in it one day about a month ago.  Now she thinks she needs to shower with mom or dad.  And since mom is 32 weeks pregnant, it is normally dad.  If you try to give her a bath she will scream...................................

Today we went to the park with some new friends that moved into our apartment complex.  E had a blast and we got home around 2, so I changed her diaper and read her books and put her to bed.  I watched her on the monitor play around with her stuffed animals.  Around 3  she was still awake and playing.  I went to sleep.  Around 3:30 she got out of bed and said "I slept good" and then told me she pooped.

I told her "You didn't sleep at all. I am going to change your diaper and then you are going back to bed. "

She finally fell asleep around 4 and is still sleeping (5:30).  I guess I need to wake her up soon.

She likes to point out all the triangles (yield signs) and octagons (stop signs) while we are driving.  I am impressed she knows her shapes mostly already.  She also points out all the horses, ducks, helicopters, ambulances, fire trucks, ect while we drive.  It is entertaining.

She can recognize in print the letters A, B, C,D,E, M,O, P, S, T
She knows all her colors
She can count to 10

Her favorite books are:
Stop Thief
Stop Thief!

Chloe, Instead
Chloe, Instead

Brown Bear Brown Bear what do you see?
Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? My First Reader

Toot and Pop (Pop Pop) by Sebastian Braun

If you ask her what song she wants to sing her playlist is as follows
Jesus wants me for a sunbeam
I am a child of God
Hush little baby
Rock a bye baby
Twinkle little star
Heavenly Father are you really there?
ABC's
Eensty weensty Spider
Pat a cake

She really enjoys pat a cake when she is holding her baby doll or tinkerbell so the doll can do the actions.

Thats about it for today.  I will probably think of other updates soon.

Picking Pumpkins part 2

For FHE tonight we picked out pumpkins.  E loved carrying around the little ones.  The lady even told her she could take a little one home with her after we paid for our 2 pumpkins.

I had a hard time capturing a good photo while she was walking around.  So I plopped her up here and got a fantastic shot.  However the owner was not happy with me.  She was a grumpy ol' bag and told me there was a display over on the side for picture taking.  E didn't want anything to do with the display.  I am glad I got this shot.

She looks like she is blowing out a candle on a birthday cake.

Goofy kid!  she loved being around all the pumpkins and taking some home.  I think this is one of my favorite times of year!  Happy Halloween!

Pumpkins and Pregnancy

This week we went to the pumpkin farm with our friends.  I forgot the camera for the farm but took some shots before hand.

Here E is in her Halloween outfit that I half made...(Only the skirt and bows :))

I love looking at her cute little pigtails, its about time she got hair!

She loves riding her horse around the house, normally she has her cowgirl hat on too.

Probably the only time this year she has actually posed and smiled for a picture

Little E came and gave me cute hugs and kisses

She didn't want baby to feel left out, so he got some kisses too.

And here I am 30 weeks pregnant.

Since I haven't really said anything here on my blog about my pregnancy, I will mention a few facts here:
  • This pregnancy is a little easier than it was with E.  Mainly because I'm not feeling sick to my stomach ALL the time.
  • This pregnancy is a little harder than it was with E.  Mainly because I have constant pelvic pain and little man likes to hide down as low as he can to make the pain worse.
  • I have been having Braxton Hicks contractions for 2 weeks now.  I am pretty much worthless to do anything after 2 pm.
  • I crave sugar ALL the time.  Especially chocolate.  I think I will have a hard time giving up my bad eating habits... and little man will have a bad sweet tooth.
  • I really wish December would get here already...it was really cold this weekend and felt like December, I was disappointed when I realized we still had 10 weeks to go.
  • I got a lot of maternity clothes from my sister in law, Annie.  None of the jeans fit me. Not a single one.  They were all too short.  Looks like this winter I will wear capris and leggings.  Good thing I get really hot when I am pregnant and the cold weather that is coming will feel good.

Pumpkin Head

I don't have a flannel board...yet. But I found this really cute felt pumkin head idea on pinterest and had to try it.  Granted ALL my pieces are from scratch. But even so I suspect E will love it.  She recently started playing with Potato Head a lot, so this isn't too different.  I can't wait till she wakes up and finds it.  Below are pictures of the pieces I made, but honestly the possibilites are endless.

Happy October--Halloween

It's finally October!  So now we can start the month of Halloween crafts and food and celebration :)

I have been dying for Pumpkin bread, and as you can see, I have dipped into it already!  Yummy!

Here is my sweetie making some cute Halloween crafts.  Right now she is painting.  She thought it was interesting when she got the paint on her hands and tummy.  But loved painting all the same.

Here are her finished products.  A paper plate Jack-O- Lantern and hand/arm print tree with footprint ghosts.  She had so much fun!

E wants to wish every one a Happy Halloween!

We will be back soon with more Halloween Fun and celebration pictures.
