Christmas Eve Eve with the Denton's

Grandma and Grandpa Denton were flying up to Oregon to visit my grandmother, who is sick, for Christmas.  So we decided to drive down and visit them on Sunday December 23rd and let them meet our sweet little one


It was a wonderful visit.  My mom made my favorite foods including a coconut cream pie, which was scrumptious.  And mom and dad took turns cuddling with their newest grandson.  (Who loves being snuggled :)

Loren and Maggie also came up, didn't catch them on camera...oops.  But Josh decided he needed to take an afternoon nap in the blue chair.

We loved our visit with my parents and can't wait to see them again soon.

2 weeks old

Somehow my little bug is 2 weeks old.  And since this is my blog I am going to post as often about him as I want.  :)
He has already up to 8 lbs 11 ozs!
Not sure where the two weeks went, but I love, love, love every moment of being with him.  He is a real joy.  He is a quiet little baby.  He is awake a little more often now and wants to be held all the time, which I have no problem with :)  I love kissing his fuzzy little head and looking into his blue eyes.  He only wants to sleep in bed with us, which makes for good snuggle time, but I am working on making him sleep in the swing or bassinet a little more often.


The boy got a new bouncer seat for Christmas from his G and G Denton. He isn't sure what to think of it yet but E loves to climb in it too :)

Ethan sleeping on daddy's chest.  His favorite place to sleep.

E noticed that little brother sleeps in mom and dad's bedroom (and quite frequently bed).  She felt a little left out and decided she needed to sleep in our bed too. So we put her down in her bed, but she wakes up in the middle of the night and comes and crawls in bed with us.  So in the morning just before 9, they are both still asleep in my bed.

Just a quick picture of my sweet children with their daddy :)  Poor E won't stop scratching at her face and will have to have a band-aid there forever...but they are still super cute :)
 

1st snow

Today it snowed for the first time this winter.  It wasn't a whole lot, but E was ready to go out and play in it the moment she saw it.  This is her 2nd experience in snow (first was Jackson Hole earlier this year in May; but it wasn't a whole lot of snow)

So after Breakfast, I bundled her up in her snow pants, courtesy of my sister and her coat and hats and boots and we went to play.  Grandpa C stayed inside and watched the boy.













E loved it.  She fell down once and had a hard time getting up again.  It was funny to watch her.

She really wanted to make a snowman, but there really wasn't that much snow... so she settled for scooping it up and throwing it in the air

 

Little Man's first bath

Little man did not like his first bath at home...but what baby does?

Poor little thing just cried the entire time.  He made some awesome faces though.

I had never heard him scream so much until then. But thankfully as soon as he was dressed again he settled down.
